Program Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all individuals, organizations, companies, or other entities (“you”) that are attending any program (“Program”) organized by The Center for Leadership Philanthropy (“we” or “us”). (These terms and conditions do not apply to customized or exclusive programs provided to institutions and organizations.) Please ensure you have read and understand the following:
1. Acceptance of terms and conditions
By completing the registration form and investing in a particular program, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out below (the "Terms") and they will be incorporated into the agreement between us (the "Agreement"). You will ensure that your employees, agents, and any other person attending the Program on your behalf shall comply with these Terms.
2. Payment
The investment for attending the Program (“Registration Fee”) will be as stated on the registration form for the relevant Program from time to time. All payments for the Registration Fee must be made in full at the time of completing the registration form and in any event prior to the date of the Program. All registrations are first-come, first-served in the order in which the Registration Fee is received.
3. Refunds
All registrations for the Program shall be non-refundable except as set out in paragraphs 4 and 5 below.
4. Cancellation, postponement, change to venue
There may be circumstances in which we need to cancel the Program. In such circumstances, we will provide you with a full refund of the amount of the Registration Fee that you have paid to us and we will make very effort to provide you with such refund within 60 days of the date of cancellation.
There may be circumstances in which we need to postpone the Program or change the venue at which the Program is to be held. If we do, we will advise you of this as soon as we possibly can. If the postponement is for more than 6 months after the publicized date of the Program or the replacement venue is more than 50 miles away from the publicized venue, you may cancel your registration by emailing us at programs@leadershipphilanthropy.com and we will provide you with a full refund within 60 days of the date of cancellation.
Our sole liability in relation to any cancellation, postponement or change of venue will be limited to the price paid by you for such Program and we shall not be liable under any circumstances for any consequential losses, including but not limited to any travel-related expenses you may incur.
5. If you cannot attend the Program
If something unexpected happens and you are unable to attend the Program, you will have the following options:
- Arrange to send someone in your place (subject to our acceptance of their enrollment in accordance with our usual application process).
- Cancel your registration. If you cancel at least 20 days before the beginning of the Program, you will receive a full refund of your tuition and we will make very effort to provide you with such refund within 60 days of the date of cancellation. If you cancel less than 20 days before the beginning of the Program, you will not receive a refund but will be able to apply your tuition to a future program with us.
You agree to notify us promptly of any of these changes by email to programs@leadershipphilanthropy.com or call us at 206-347-9546.
6. Your obligations at the Program
If you act in any way which in our opinion is likely to cause any harm or nuisance to any person at the Program, you will be required to leave the Program and we shall not be liable to refund your Registration Fee or any other payment. You must comply with all requests from us or the venue with regard to health and safety and failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the Program (in which case no refund will be provided). You must keep your personal belongings with you at all times and we accept no liability for any damage to, loss of or theft of any of your belongings or other items brought to the Program by you.
7. Promotional materials and materials at the Program
You agree that we may include your details in any promotional materials relating to the Program and/or any materials used at the Program. We are not liable for errors or omissions contained in such information. Unless otherwise stated, the copyright for any such promotional materials and any materials used at the Program belongs to us and such materials may not be reproduced in any medium without our prior written consent. You may use such materials for your own business purposes only and may not reproduce, publish or deal with such materials in any way for any commercial use. We reserve the right to change the published program (including the Program leaders) or materials as we think fit.
8. Photography and filming
We may wish to photograph or film the Program and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future programs or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the Program) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the Program with you. You may not photograph or video the Program without our prior consent.
9. Travel, accommodation, and refreshments
You will be responsible for making and paying for your own travel and accommodation arrangements to and from the Program. If you are late at the Program or prevented from attending the Program due to travel delays or any other circumstances, we shall not be obliged to provide you with a refund or to wait to start the Program until you arrive. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided, as well as dinner at our discretion depending on the particular Program venue and schedule.
10. Disability, medical conditions, and dietary requirements
If you have any disability or medical condition that requires us to make special arrangements for you or any special dietary requirements, please email us at programs@leadershipphilanthropy.com as soon as possible and in any event at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the Program.
11. Limitations of Liability
While we make every effort to ensure the Program is a good fit for you, through the application process and pre-enrollment consultation, we do not guarantee the content of the Program will meet any specific requirements you have. Nor can we make any commitment to you that you will obtain any particular result, including but not limited to financial results, from the Program. We do not give any warranties that you will be in a position to obtain a particular role or remuneration as a result of your taking part in any of the Program.
While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure security and safety at the Program, we will not in any way be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you in relation to the Program. Our total liability for any matter arising out of the Agreement shall in all circumstances be limited to the price paid by you for the Program and we shall not in any circumstances be liable to you for any consequential loss whatsoever.
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under an Agreement caused by events outside our reasonable control, including (without limitation) any industrial dispute affecting any third party, governmental regulations, fire, flood, disaster, power outage or electrical failure, theft of computers or related equipment, hostile computer act, telecommunications or internet failures, non-availability of third party data centers, acts of terrorism, civil riot or war.
12. Governing law
